What does it look like?
When you log on to your designated AppStream fleet with your Active Directory account via SAML, you get a list of applications available to you depending on your Active Directory group membership. Behind the scenes, administrators can configure these applications to install automatically to the user session when it starts, or to install when the user clicks on them (known as ‘Click-To-Layer’) – or a mixture of both.
If your application gets streamed in ‘on-demand’ as Click-To-Layer when they select it, they see a ‘Flexapp Click To Layer’ dialog to say that the components are being streamed in to their session. The application will then start up when all of the application components are downloaded from cloud storage or on-prem shares (depending on how you’ve set it up).
You can then select more applications from your catalogue as you wish to use them.
